Peer Review Process

JAMS publishes research articles after a peer review process, to ensure the quality, accuracy and academic value of published research.

The review process helps assure that all manuscripts published in the journal are of an appropriate academic and research level. JAMS is a multi-disciplinary journal that fairly and professionally reviews research in various fields.

Initial Editorial Review

Once submitted, each manuscript is initially reviewed by the editorial board to ensure that it meets the standards:

  • The relevance to the scope of the journal.
  • Basic academic quality
  • Structure and clarity of the manuscript.
  • Originality and completeness of the submission

Manuscripts that are not considered to fulfill the basic requirements of the journal may be returned to the author(s) for correction and/or revision prior to the peer review process.

Peer Review Evaluation

Manuscripts submitted are sent to qualified reviewers who have knowledge and experience in the scope of the research.

The manuscript is judged on the following aspects:

Reviewer Recommendations

Once evaluated, reviewers can suggest:

  • Acceptance of the manuscript has been delayed due to the pressure of other work.
  • Minor revisions
  • Major revisions
  • Rejection of the manuscript

The submitted articles are required to be modified, based on reviewers' comments, before the decision is made.
